The Journey of Pacific Women’s Center: From Founding Vision to Compassionate Women’s Healthcare in Eugene, OR

The practice was founded in 1996 by Dr. Richard A. Beyerlein, MD, MSCP, FACOG. The practice was founded on the passion to be better as a person, physician, and activist in the cause of good medicine. The goal was to create an organization where individuals are motivated to always put patients above all else and contribute to medicine with the strongest sense of ethics and integrity.

Beyond providing care, our mission is to continuously improve, maintain a reputation for excellence, and allow passion for the work to drive the organization.

Ar Pacific Women’s Center, we follow an individualized, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach within a personalized, small-practice setting.

We have intentionally transitioned to a gynecology-only practice to ensure our patients remain our singular focus. By stepping away from obstetrics and deliveries, we have virtually eliminated the sudden cancellations and mid-appointment departures common in general OB/GYN offices. This allows us to provide a more reliable, personalized, and uninterrupted environment where your time is respected and your care is never rushed.

Pacific Women’s Center’s biggest success is its evolution into a patient-centered, multi-generational practice where patients consistently receive excellent care.

From the first interaction, patients are greeted with courtesy, dignity, and respect. The office ambiance is designed to be warm and friendly, and interactions are primarily direct with actual staff members rather than automated systems.

Dr. Beyerlein has participated in educational and advocate programs locally and internationally. These experiences highlighted the universal need for healthcare while exposing the various cultural, societal, and financial challenges faced by different populations.

● Residency & Internship: Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of California at Irvine Medical Center

● Former Chief of OB/GYN at both McKenzie-Willamette Hospital and Sacred Heart Medical Center

● Certifications: Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Beyerlein has authored numerous studies and articles in the Journal of the American Medical Association, American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and The Monitor.

Dr. Beyerlein has also been an investigator or principal investigator for more than 100 clinical trials since 1982.
